The initials

JC sits in the monogram, and the cross sits inside the J — cut into the letter rather than added to it. On a chest print at 90mm most people read two letters. Some read more.

II

The belief

Conviction as the thing you’d still hold if it cost you something. Not a slogan, not a fish badge on a car. The substance of things hoped for.

III

The record

And conviction the other way — because just also means justified, and the people this is made for know that a past isn’t a sentence.
